Online Stolpersteine

Back Download

The online presence of the Stones Telling Stories project visualises the magnitude of the Holocaust, in particular to young Germans who know little about it. Every brass stone stands for a person murdered during the Third Reich and is placed in front of the building from which the person was deported. While taking a virtual tour through a city, website visitors stumble upon these stones, discovering the names of the victims along with pictures and biographical data. The “stumbling stones” can also be found on Google Maps, on street posters and via an iPhone app that features additional details.
