Chair

Pelikan

Back

This chair has been designed to reflect the typical beak form of a pelican. It proves of value in all places where one has to sit for extended periods, such as in libraries, conference rooms or at reception desks. What serves the bird for the storage of food also provides storage space here for a book, laptop or bag. The chair comes in two versions – with or without armrests, which are available in a pleasant-to-touch material. There are four frames to choose from: four-leg frame, cantilever, round flat base and four-star base.

Statement by the Jury

By paying reference to this particular zoomorphic form, the Pelikan chair has a self-contained design that also offers an additional practical benefit.
