As a collaborative project between a photographer and a graphic designer, this magazine is dedicated to the island of Iceland and its raw charm. However, “Iceland” is intended to be more than a classic photo book that captures the charm of glaciers, volcanic landscapes and rugged rock walls in expressive and colourful images. The magazine also features illustrations that strip the original photographs to their essentials through gentle digital brush strokes. The sprayed illustrations, in turn, mirror the waterfalls, geysers and fog seen in the photographs.
