Pushiron is designed with a shielded soleplate that is uncovered by pressing a simple and intuitive red push-button-and-dial. This measure enhances safety, especially in homes where there are young children. When not in use, the iron automatically hides the soleplate in the shield. Not only does this guard against accidents, it also decreases the risk absentmindedly leaving the iron pressed against the fabric. As a further safety measure, a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) lining allows immediate insulation of heat. Unlike traditional irons with sharp edges, Pushiron has a rounded soleplate and form. For convenience, the iron can be charged and used wirelessly. All the functions of the iron are operated via the red button. The temperature and the pre-set ironing functions can be accessed by turning the red button like a dial – and this information, along with the battery life of the iron, are clearly indicated on the button in LED colours.
