PWshredder | Red Dot Design Award

Traditional paper shredders require the paper to be straightened before feeding it into the shredder. With PWshredder’s 3 vertical shredder blades, paper can be fed crumpled and tossed into the bin in any manner. When paper is tossed into the shredder, a weight sensor will detect it and turn on the 3-shredder blades. Since the sensor is weight sensitive and will only kick into gear for documents, there is no need to worry about things getting caught in the shredder. When PWshredder is full, a red indicator will light up; press the button and a circular plate moves downwards to create space for more paper to be shredded. A silicone cover shields the exposed parts of the shredder blades, minimising any risks of accidents.
