Rariga Winery is a small, family‑ operated business in Slovakia’s Lesser Carpathian wine region. The winery grows grapes in vineyards where the stony soil is difficult to cultivate. The by-products of this cultivation are solid rocks used to build vineyard houses and strengthen walls. With reference to this, the main feature on the winery’s labels is an irregular wall with a logo that is hidden like a treasure. The label’s distinctive black-and-white drawing is accentuated with relief printing and metallic foil. Not only has its design helped to distinguish the winery from its competitors, but it also alludes to the arduousness of viticulture in the region.
