Jazz music represents the convergence of rhythm and improvisation. Based on parallels between music and design, this corporate identity takes up aspects of jazz music to be visualised as improvised melodies: specific tone colours were defined and notes reduced to dots. The design concept comprises both variable and unchanging elements that are applied to different media, guaranteeing a high level of identification. The photographs were taken during jam sessions and sound checks at the Jazz-Schmiede in Düsseldorf.
