A modular structure lends this visual identity a maximum of flexibility. The School of Design Basel logo and corporate font are based on a grid derived from the school’s facade architecture in Basel. This approach allows for significant variety in corporate appearance, with both logo and font highly flexible in application. Depending on the specific communication media, the word mark is aligned to the left, right or centre; and in addition to heavy typography, a distinctive underscore creates a high degree of recognition. The logo, asserting a strong black appearance, is complemented by colourful visual language. Moreover, the modular system allows for constant alterations in corporate design without losing the visual identity.
