Size Zero Model

Back Download

A shocking alteration of famous artwork questions the ideal of beauty with reference to size zero models. These gaunt versions of, for example, Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” or Sandro Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus” look frighteningly hideous. Under the motto “Thin”, a detailed design concept copies the layout of exhibition posters and points out the life-threatening distortion of perception to which bulimic or anorexic models are prone. The bony images remind viewers of healthier beauty ideals from centuries past.
