Stadt Viersen

This logo – as an element of the new corporate design approach of the German city of Viersen – illustrates the connection between urbanity and nature. Accordingly, the newly designed logotype consists of two squares in blue and green standing side by side. Uniting to form a stylised letter “V” are 15 dots that can be viewed as a check-sign pointing upwards, while the dots are also indicative of Viersen’s status as county seat. In their reference to this new corporate identity, the dots thus also elucidate and illustrate the network concept and the idea of centrality.
