“Serendipity” is the lucky incident of finding something by chance that was not originally sought after. This project explores this phenomenon by documenting the web query for the word “serendipity”. With a consistent and lively design, the book breaks with the linear structures of print media and presents a new form of navigation: individual reading paths can be chosen by following colour-coded routes inside the book and along the fore-edge of each page. Each double-page spread represents a website that opens up new branches. On each reverse side there is the corresponding source code.
