The Cutting Edge Pharmacy

Back

The Cutting Edge is a dispensing pharmacy located near Himeji Daiichi Hospital in Japan, with the idea of promoting the hospital. The architecture and interior design follow a medically inspired approach to conveying the idea of “healing” and exude a strong sense of trustworthiness. The pharmacy’s facade is fully glazed and contoured by protracted sharp edges that are projected into a purely designed, white interior demarcated by a black cross. A minimalistic space designed in clean, straight lines evokes a high-tech image that conveys to patients the notion of advanced medical care.
