The Dorcus tent was, based on the insect’s power and volume, named after a kind of stag beetle. Its unusual support system offers high flexibility and lightness without losing functionality. The two-layer design not only ensures versatile application in day-to-day use, it also reduces the condensation yet still provides waterproof shelter from the rain. If needed, the front can be lifted to form a spacious door awning as cover for cooking or sitting.
Statement by the Jury
The tent was convincingly designed to be equally robust and flexible in its application and regulate moisture really well.
