This advertising campaign was developed to denounce the brutal attack on the editorial offices of the Paris satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo”: newspapers featuring articles on the atrocity were prepared by placing portraits of the victims at the exact points where the grippers of the printing press perforate the paper. This makes the gripping holes look like bullet holes. The newspapers were distributed in cafés, bars and libraries, while a condolence book was set up online, which was later handed over in printed form to the French Embassy.
