The book “Weltsprachen – Sprachwelten” (Languages of the World – World of Languages) is divided into three segments, which are easy to distinguish thanks to a variation of uncoated and coated paper. Complementing the black-and-white layout, a series of photographs visualises the dynamics of language as flowing shapes. The core of the publication is dedicated to untranslatable words. These words cannot be translated by using just one term; instead, they need longer explanations in other languages in order to be comprehensible. The peculiar phenomenon is illustrated by a clearly arranged world map.
