With improvements in overall standards of living, advanced solutions should also be made for vulnerable groups in society and people with impairments. Window of the Soul is a new type of digital production device that translates spoken words into braille as a way of writing and note taking for the visually impaired. By speaking into Window of the Soul, the device prints out the information that it receives. This comes in useful for the visually impaired when they need to keep reminders or exchange information and written messages with others. It is also a convenient tool that can be used to print braille labels for household items, tools, medication, etc. With an affordable price tag and such ease-of-use, this device becomes a necessity that will greatly improve the quality of life for the visually impaired. To use, simply press the “record” button to record a spoken message. Then, press the “print” button to convert the information and the device will print out the braille note. If this is a label, it can be pasted on different items for easy identification.
