An essential element in developing the brand identity for the coffee bar Wookenju located in the Hongdae district of Seoul, Korea, was to highlight the store as a unique place, for it sells coffee during the day and wine at night. The symbol conveying the brand identity visualises the English initials “W” and “J” of the two owners and uses stacked wine glasses as a motif, intuitively expressing the store’s specialties. Black and white are the main colours, selected to symbolise the dichotomy of night and day, while an additional gold tone adds elegance to the brand.
