Tea of a superior quality should be savoured at the best times of the day, in the same way as a good book that we return to with pleasure as soon as we have a moment free. To enhance this association, the XIE XIE packaging assumes the shape and spirit of a book: it is opened from a cover articulated along a smooth back, and is placed vertically on a shelf, to be consulted as much as it is drunk. On each front cover there is a full page of the blurred image of a place that haunts our memory: a rock garden in Kyoto, an alley in Beijing, a line of roofs in Paris. On top of this image, a free, abstract form stands out, marking one of the seven colours of the XIE XIE range. Derived from a Japanese pigment, it is prepared using natural plants and minerals.
