The innovative university magazine Zwiebelfisch (German for “printer’s pie”) was created by the semester course in editorial design, with the involved graphic design students fully exhausting the creative freedom given to them. Formally speaking, the magazine consists of many individual works that have been compiled in a hanging file folder as a humorous allusion to bureaucracy. The main topic of this particular edition is “design, ethics + morals”. The starting point was the manifesto “First Things First” from 1964, with several contributions by noted designers enriching the magazine.
