In 2014, it was the turn of the Scholz & Friends Group to celebrate the title of honour “Red Dot: Agency of the Year”. This served as Red Dot’s recognition of the strong creative and design performance of the company headquartered in Berlin and Hamburg.
Since it was founded in 1981, Scholz & Friends has succeeded in building up a client base that includes some of the world’s largest providers in the areas of automotive, foodstuffs and craftsmanship. The creative company’s claims such as “Dahinter steckt immer ein kluger Kopf” (“There always is a smart head behind it”) for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper are well known far beyond Germany’s borders. The basis for this success is perfect teamwork in communication based on the idea of the orchestra director who directs all of the instruments for one brand.
The title and the “Stylus” challenge cup were personally accepted by Frank-Michael Schmidt, CEO of the Scholz & Friends Group, and Matthias Spaetgens, Chief Creative Officer in Berlin, at the Red Dot Gala at the end of October 2014 in Berlin.
