27" iMac

返回 Download

In the late-1990s, the iMac provided an entirely new understanding of computers. It was easy to use and its all-in-one concept integrated all elements into a single housing. The new 27" iMac features an edge that is only 5mm thick, allowing for a housing of 40 per cent less volume. This was made possible by friction-stir welding, a process that is commonly used on airplane wings and rocket booster tanks. The new iMac’s display was technologically refined and the cover glass is now fully laminated onto the LCD. It offers users brilliant colour definition as well as a realistic and high-contrast resolution. In addition, the display is easy on the eyes as its reflections were reduced by 75 per cent due to an anti-reflective coating. The 27" iMac features an Intel quad-core processor, improved graphics architecture by NVIDIA, and the all-new Fusion Drive, an innovative storage solution that combines the capacity of familiar drives with the performance of a flash drive. This allows even storage-intensive work to be performed quickly and efficiently. The overall design of the new 27" iMac is slender and well thought out in all of its details, elegantly carrying on the iMac line.

The 27" iMac effortlessly bridges the living areas of office and home and does not look like a work device. Its design successfully implements a reduction to the essential. The proportions of this iMac are well balanced and it features an elegantly flowing design appearance. Technologically convincing, it thus embodies a successful reinterpretation.
