Adidas Smart Ball

The Adidas Smart Ball allows players to improve their striking technique by giving them feedback on the parameters of ball speed, spin and trajectory, as well as strike accuracy. Sensors in the ball analyse the forces acting on the ball, and send the data via Bluetooth to the Smart Ball app on the player’s paired iOS device. The app can then calculate the ball’s entire trajectory and display it as a precise animation. The Smart Ball is the same size as a regular football and feels like a premium match ball, so that players can’t tell the difference in training. The charger evokes the culture of the game through a trophy metaphor.
