Apple TV is a set-top box developed by Apple Inc. to stream media contents to a television or an external monitor. The new interpretation of the Apple TV modifies the design language of this digital content player into a highly elegant device with a small footprint. The redesign also led to very low power consumption and thus silent operation, as the device does not need a cooling fan. Apple TV was entirely redesigned. Coming in elegant black, it perfectly blends in when placed next to a widescreen television or on a shelf to save space. The unit is very small, silent and efficient – both for audio or video streaming. Apple TV streams films, TV shows, photos and videos directly from the Internet or a computer for wireless watching on a television. The device simply needs to be plugged into a domestic power outlet and connected via HDMI cable to a television.
