BAENUE The New Lamp

The New Lamp is a desk lamp with patented electronics that automatically adjust the light spectrum when the lamp is dimmed. At higher brightness levels, the lamp emits a melatonin-suppressing light spectrum. When it is dimmed, the colour of the light changes to aid the circadian rhythm at night-time. A dial ensures intuitive operation of the lamp while a visually appealing, self-illuminating rim accentuates the oval head of the lamp and displays the colour of the light as the brightness is increased or decreased. The jury was unanimous that “the excellent functionality offers a level of quality which is perfectly in tune with people’s needs.”
