The Christmas book “Baum zu glauben” (Tree to Believe, which is a play on the German saying “kaum zu glauben”, or hard to believe) takes an entertaining approach to documenting the history and tradition of the Christmas tree and the many related stories. Since historians and other scholars still disagree on the topic, this Christmas book aims to thin out the thicket of stories. The book illustrates them with collages of classical illustrations and offers additional information, for instance on how to transport a Christmas tree safely.
