The design challenge of the new Bering sleeping bag was to improve its insulating properties and breathability without having a negative impact on weight and pack size. The integrated Black Yarn technology, which encapsulates micro-fine carbon particles in a synthetic nylon fibre, makes it possible not only to charge the fabric with heat when exposed to sunlight, which it later emits again, but also to create a much stronger insulation. The Thermo Dry Soft filling guarantees that moisture is efficiently transported away, creating a comfortable climate for sleeping without heat accumulation.

The Bering sleeping bag exemplifies what new, highly developed materials are able to accomplish today: heat-retaining and insulating carbon fibres were used to guarantee that it optimally protects against the cold while simultaneously retaining its breathability.
