“This e-bike surprises with a new idea for accommodating the battery,” said the jury. “The combination of the battery with the bicycle basket is convincingly solved in terms of design.” The Biknik’s Basket E-Bike was designed as a leisure bike. By integrating the battery into the cycle basket, it has the advantage, in addition to its transport function, that it can also serve as a power bank for charging smartphones and the like at picnics or at home. Thanks to a built-in inverter, the battery can also supply 500-watt household appliances with power. The basket can be quickly and easily mounted in front of the handlebars and/or behind the saddle.
