The Children’s Museum Yard, which is located in front of the National Museum of Korea in Seoul, has been realised as a space where parents and children can enjoy leisure time together. Rising up from a low hill, the round-shaped yard reveals a building coming from the past as if set within an archaeological excavation site. Its architecture is formed by the terrain, which is raised diagonally to become a sloped roof, while the space underneath forms a shaded place. The top of the roof serves as a platform for performances or lectures.
