This innovative, sustainable, and eco-friendly packaging for Nutrilite Drink Powder makes use of plant fibres, specifically leftover chrysanthemum stalks after the petals have been used. The design emphasises a harmonious connection between the packaging visuals and the product's benefits, reflecting Nutrilite's concept of exploring Chinese herbal medicine to improve the health of users. This packaging solution also paves the way for resource conservation in the packaging industry, offering significant economic and social benefits. The packaging design is inspired by the natural aesthetics of plants and includes a natural patterned texture extracted from chrysanthemum flowers. The drink powder is made from high-quality medicinal chrysanthemum petals, and the packaging is made from leftover chrysanthemum stalks. With an abundance of raw materials and a straightforward and cost-effective production process, it is well suited for large-scale production. Furthermore, the flower core on the outer box has a capsule button design with plantable chrysanthemum seeds that encourages users to plant seeds and care for nature. The production process makes use of discarded chrysanthemum stalks for the outer packaging instead of burning them. In comparison to pulp packaging, this results in an annual reduction of nearly 144 tonnes of carbon emissions. Furthermore, it outperforms HDPE plastic packaging and has received certifications such as the ISEGA certification report, BPI degradable product certification, and FSC certification, as well as passing the 90-day biodegradation test. With an 88.9% degradation rate, this packaging can decompose naturally into fertiliser, thus promoting soil fertility and meeting sustainable development standards.
