However, existing solutions to achieve this tend to compromise the amount of available workspace, and the technology integration is usually poorly executed. Current is a configurable shared task light that includes options for integrated power and novel storage solution, all integrated into a compact package. Jones & Partners researched and designed this product concept after noticing a space in the market for a configurable, adaptable, and stylish power solution built into task furniture. Current’s compact form serves as a central interaction point for users to adjust the ambience, access connectivity, and use any stationery. With multiple products placed along a communal workspace, the environment becomes a hive for productivity. Current has been designed with LED lighting to ensure efficiency and compliance with relevant standards. When combined with modular power units, it becomes highly adaptable to meet customer needs. Current ensures that everything is plug and play, and it can be easily retrofitted or included in a new installation. Aesthetically, Current seamlessly integrates technology into furniture. The sleek and modern design is a stylish addition to any workplace. Current is available as a working prototype, with refinements being made for potential mass production.
