Garmin DriveCoach: An Interactive Gamified Training System for Road Safety.
While traditional driver monitoring systems focus on correcting poor driving behaviour, the Garmin DriveCoach system uses gamified rewards for good behaviour to foster safety-focused habits over 21 days. It integrates monitoring of driver states, physiological data, and risky behaviours into 12 metrics for personalised recommendations. Multi-sensory alerts (auditory, visual, tactile) address danger levels. AI detects distraction and fatigue and visualises performance to foster responsibility.
