God is watching from above

A Chinese proverb says, “God is watching from three feet above”. This project takes the idea and develops it further: if we look up from what we do, we will perceive the divine. The visual idea for the poster is based on the combination of a raised vantage point with religious symbols – in this case a Christian cross or a Buddhist-Hindu left-facing swastika. Invoking dramatic light-dark contrasts, the design creates a graphically simplified and contemporary interpretation of the message.
