Gotteswerk – Edition 2017.2018

In the current edition of their customer magazine “Gotteswerk” (God’s work), the printing company invites the readers to carry out an experiment. The doubled cover, with its black hot-foil embossing, is the first eye-catcher, combining a four-part punching with textured paper. The 36 jigsaw parts enclosed in the cover can be put together to create nine different motifs. According to the magazine motto “trial an error”, photographers from all over Europe provided individual picture material. Each picture has its own story, which is then underlined editorially. Chapter dividers invite readers to another interaction: the paint used is semi-transparent so that the underly-ing photographs shine through and can be wiped free with a damp cloth.
