Gul Il Bong Honey Stick

The design of the Gul Il Bong Honey Stick was inspired by the Korean “Geum Il Bong” tradition of giving money to someone to express gratitude on specific occasions. It provides a way to show appreciation to others by presenting them with selected honey products. In direct translation, “Gul Il Bong” means a pouch filled with honey. It is produced by a guild of beekeepers in the region around Jirisan mountain in South Korea. Profits from sales are used to support local children. The packaging design was created using ancient Korean art techniques such as simple but powerful brushstrokes and elegant traditional colours.
