HONG DAE – Pattern Palette Book

“HONG DAE” is a nightlife district in South Korea’s Seoul. This book project presents itself as an unusual travel guide: it searches for patterns that can frequently be discovered in this district and visualises them on city maps. For this purpose, various patterns were chosen, photographed and systematised. For local residents the project opens up new perspectives of a familiar environment and for tourists it guarantees an interesting introduction to this vibrant district of Seoul.
