Deutsche Bahn’s new infotainment UX design system has been designed with a focus on customer needs, in order to increase transparency and accessibility. It is based on a modular “atomic design” that meets high demands on aesthetics and functionality. It places contents centre stage, presenting them immediately on the home screen. Users have direct access to relevant information via a search function and can easily navigate to the desired content. As a result, the infotainment system has a strong pull on customers, turning travelling by train into an emotional experience.
