This student project aims to advocate the value of earth and make fellow citizens treat nature with more respect. Eight types of soil were collected in different Taiwanese regions and used as pigments for painting. The result is a series of illustrations for eight publications with striking animal motifs. Upon a closer look, the animals are artfully composed of plant parts and geometric patterns. The illustrations of flora and fauna highlight the characteristics of the soil in an associative way. Through their meticulous design, they also reveal a high degree of personal commitment to the subject.
