OMNE / WORK 2016–2018

The catalogue showcases the results of the first workshop for artists in residence organised by the Osservatorio Mobile Nord Est (OMNE). It presents ten projects and ten visions located between memory and contemporaneity, analysing the complexity of the landscape of the north-east of Italy through a common theme of “work”. The work is understood as the foundation of the social pact that keeps a community united on the one hand, and as an element that configures a landscape to give it its identity on the other. Inspired by the theme of in­ves­tigation, the catalogue is reminiscent of a typical archival collector at first glance, trans­forming that structure into a new interpretation though. The inside features different page formats and types of paper in order to visualise the passage from critical texts and contri­butions by teachers to the projects of internationally renowned artists, presenting them in the classic form of rubricated files.
