Persoton

Persoton enables users to turn a personal photo into an individualised ringtone. First, users visit the persoton.de website and log in with Facebook from there. Persoton then takes the Facebook profile picture, pixelates it and allocates a sound to each pixel. These sounds are then turned into a personalised sound sequence. In an online gallery, the sound sequences of hundreds of people are interwoven to create a never-ending melody, making each a part of a huge symphony of individuality.
