This product is a redesign of the Pixie compact capsule coffee maker launched in 2011. The machine now has smooth metal sides, a rectangular aluminum cup holder and a more elegant handle. It also features a higher percentage of recycled materials than before. “The elegant lines have been reduced even further to the essentials, making the Pixie's minimalist character all the more striking,” the jury said, explaining its decision. The machine, with its unchanged purist user interface, automatically shuts off after two minutes of non-use, helping to save energy.
