This dinnerware has been developed for people with type 2 diabetes. The graphic design aims to support a balanced diet which keeps the blood sugar at a normal level. The decor of the dining plate shows a reasonable portioning of rice, meat and vegetables at a ratio of 1:1:2. In order to reduce the consumption of carbohydrates, the design concept uses the Delboeuf illusion, according to which a circle appears optically larger if it is surrounded by another circle.
