The design objective of REI is to underline the wearer’s per-sonal charisma. These frames are handcrafted with high precision from the natural materials wood and horn, combining unique shapes with the use of modern technologies. Since the glasses are very light, the wearer hardly feels them. The main focus of their sophisticated functionality is the innovative “Snap Joint” hinge. This screwless designed joint made of water buffalo horn also acts as a characteristic, highly recognisable feature of the entire eyewear collection. It is maintenance-free and optician-friendly, since it allows an easy upgrade with the fully adaptable temples made of horn or a combination of wood and horn. This innovative joint thus solves one of the main problems of wooden frames.
