The Siemens EQ900 is a fully automatic coffee machine with a well thought-out user interface. The focus is on operating the machine via the full-touch iSelect display with two different modes: In Comfort mode, the user can select the taste, quantity and strength. Using the programme control, the machine prepares the drink automatically. In baristaMode, parameters such as grind, brewing temperature and time as well as milk quantity can be set individually. Different flavour profiles can be created via a special menu. “The high-quality materials and excellent workmanship go hand in hand with a well thought-out UX design,” said the jury, which also praised the compact design.
