Bathtub

Silvia

返回 Download

The design of the bathtub Silvia is inspired by the first known terracotta bathtubs of 1700 BCE, which were discovered in the palace of Knossos on Crete. It tapers from the shoulder zone towards the foot area. This fits in with ergonomics and reduces water consumption to 130 litres. The overflow was discreetly integrated in a thin sidewall. The corpus is made of mineral composite, the main component being dolomite. This material absorbs heat and gives a pleasant feel.

Inspired by antique tub forms, the reduced distinctive shape is also impressive in modern environments.
