SOLAMENT™

SOLAMENT is a Japanese material technology that converts light into heat using metal-based nanoparticles. By absorbing near-infrared light from the sun, it provides effective and resource-efficient insulation against the cold – without the need for downs or thick fabrics. The nano particles can also be used as a protection against heat. This versatility of the material is reflected in the wide range of possible applications, from high-performance apparel to greenhouses.
