Suspension Lamp

A design work of interactive visual experience, Suspension Lamp is equipped with anti-gravity visual effects through mechanical design, thus creating and establishing the visual and mechanical interactive experience between human and products. The first impression of the Suspension Lamp is its state of suspension. By bringing an unexpected visual surprise, users are prompted to rethink the relationship between gravity and the product’s support structure. The visual effect of suspension is achieved by a composite of upper and lower components that are connected and fixed by five soft-wire ropes. The wire-rope in the middle acts as a gravity support, while the four wire-ropes on the outside play a role in balancing and fixing that middle wire-rope to realise the principles of suspension. Suspension Lamp guides users to new creative thinking by breaking traditional moulds of thought.
