The TV55 is one of the world’s lightest electronically controlled emergency ventilators that is able to support patient ventilation even without an external oxygen supply. If necessary, a gas bottle can be quickly connected to or disconnected from the system. “The coherent and functionally mature design allows for flexible adaptation to different rescue scenarios both inside and outside the hospital,” concluded the jury. Other characteristic features of the design include a battery indicator that also functions when the device is switched off and a generously dimensioned multifunctional handle, which facilitates transport.
