Storms cleanse the atmosphere – both literally and metaphorically. During this meteorological phenomenon, electrical energy and rain come together and break down greenhouse gases, for example, rinsing them and other substances from the air. Wairify One is based on this very principle, using patented plasma technology to remove particles: the air passes through a purifying plasma field, in which particles, organisms and aerosol-bound viruses present in the air are charged and rendered harmless. Due to the ionic wind generated, the particles are attracted to a counter electrode continuously coated with a film of water, then bound in the water and conducted into a collection tank. This design dispenses with the need for a filter. The liquid can simply be replaced, and the nutrient-enriched water subsequently used to water flowers. The housing is distinguished by a minimalist aesthetic that is only broken up by ventilation slits. The underlying plasma technology requires accurate guidance of the air stream from the base to the top, which is aided by ventilation slits in the centre and air outlets at the top of the appliance. Made of a robust, EPP-based particle foam which is 96 per cent air, the housing is thus not only recyclable but also particularly light. Using laser technology, the surface of Wairify One is textured in such a way as to make it both look and feel like upholstered fabric.

By dispensing with filters and thanks to its recyclable housing, it is also sustainable and thus meets the criterion of environmental responsibility. Furthermore, the choice of EPP particle foam for the body makes this air purifier both very sturdy and, despite its size, light in weight as well as pleasing to the touch.
