The 3,500 sqm headquarters of the Karl Wörwag Lack- und Farbenfabrik GmbH in Germany is a four-level building with three floors of workspace above the lobby with a small exhibition area alongside the cafeteria and the canteen. Inspired by the company’s colour fans, the ceiling was turned into a widely visible element of zoning and orientation. Each floor has its selected palette of coloured materials which guarantee employees a motivating working atmosphere and a strong identification with their department. The atrium surprises with a backdrop of illuminated shelving, and the open façades allow passers-by to be a part of what is happening inside.
