X Limb

X Limb has revolutionised prosthetics through modular design and industrial production, addressing the issues of high cost, poor fit, and uniform aesthetics with the concept of 'universal fit + affordability'. The socket design integrates the BOA dynamic adjustment system, featuring a ruler-like structure and knobs that make it suitable for 90% of residual limbs without the need for customisation. Standardised three-way connectors support plug-and-play compatibility with any leg tube diameter or shape, allowing for DIY assembly or online purchase. The four-bar linkage joint simulates natural gait, and the knee joint shell ensures safety. 3D printing technology and mass production have reduced costs, making the prosthesis only one-tenth the price of traditional models. Environmentally friendly cardboard packaging and localised production have reduced the carbon footprint by 60%, meeting World Health Organization standards. Socially, the price of this prosthesis is equivalent to 20% of the monthly income of lower-income populations, enabling over 500,000 users worldwide to regain mobility and employment opportunities, thereby promoting technological inclusion and social equity. X Limb rejects the stereotype of 'medical devices', preferring to offer affordability and customisation freedom. It strives to improve people's interactions with prosthetics while promoting the integration of disabled persons and social equity.
